Macmillan Cancer Support Charity Golf Day

The 23^rd year of hosting the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity Golf Day took place on Friday October 1^st  when 116 golfers attended for a day of golf at Barnham Broom Golf & Country Club. Local Companies were also given the opportunity to place banners around the course in return for a donation to the Charity.

The day consisted of bacon roll & coffee followed by 18 holes on the Valley Course after which a dinner was enjoyed by everyone with an auction, raffle and prize giving. The winning teams were presented with their prizes by the Sponsor for the day, Mark Burton of MCB Financial Services Ltd and the final total raised on the day amounted to £15,265.00 which takes the total money raised for Macmillan Cancer Support over the years to circa £250,000.

Organiser and Macmillan Ambassador, Graham Knights, expressed his sincere thanks to all those involved who had contributed in some way to the success of the day and for helping him to achieve his target of total money raised over the 23 years he has arranged this event.
